EC is giving 40% chance for wet flurries overnight and 60% chance for wet flurries til noon then back to our regularly programmed weather of wet rain which is good, my lake, it's too big to just be a puddle now, is drying out.

No precip at the moment +0.1 in Sechelt.

Will be very similar to 2015. That Hudson vortex is going to be present and will keep the East in the icebox for most of Jan.

The lack of snowpack this season, paired with last years similar stats, leads to a severe drought situation for this summer:

From thecooldown.com
https://www.thecooldown.com/outdoors/br ... -flooding/

What's happening?
New data revealed that snowpack levels across British Columbia are below average for this time of year, according to the Salmon Arm Observer. While levels vary across the province, some regions, such as Okanagan and Similkameen, are experiencing particularly harsh snow droughts. Okanagan and Similkameen had 66% and 65% of median snowpack levels, respectively.

This is particularly concerning because the Similkameen Valley basin experienced tough drought conditions this year. Dry conditions persisted for about 14 weeks, making it one of the region's longest drought periods.

I would question that 65% of...i have been there, there is basically no snowpack in the valleys, and little more up top..maybe 30-40cms is my guess for up top :(

Must have cleared off at some point overnight because I recorded a min of -1.1˚C.

Now overcast and +0.5˚C.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Ideally want to see the models move up the ridge development. Mid range is all mild rain.

Perfect outcome. Let's obliterate the Mountain snowpack with very mild rain before the ridge builds.

quite the nice little cell that "exploded" right over your area. I would call this a huge victory in a year devoid of them
Sadly, that cell died just as quick as it headed SE towards Langley :cryhard:
