In the past years I believe I remember seeing Ryan Maue praising the GEM for its performance over some of the other models. It for sure outperformed the GFS, it might have been on par or better than ECMWF at some points.

the AI models are completely at odds with the conventional ones. Not sure what to believe.

We will be welcoming 1+ minutes of light a day starting January 1, 2026. I still remember March 2002 or 2003 when we got 1+ feet of snow in Abbotsford during Spring break.
