Interesting development on recent runs of the ECMWF as they have progressively been increasing the depth and strength of the arctic airmass that will flood into the north and interior on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

12z run showed some of that cold air pushing and spill through the gaps and valleys and the modified stuff reaching the south coast by Wednesday evening followed by outflow potentially ramping up in the usual spots by Thursday morning with temps dropping well below freezing. More cold air spilling out over the ocean spins up a weak low south of Vancouver Island and over the Washington coast that sags south into Oregon while temps struggle to crack 0c thereafter by Thursday afternoon across the Lower Mainland.

Probably more localized winners like last year. Just hope that you are in the score zone bud. I'm tempted to believe it'll be more widespread than last Feb, but who knows. I think Vancouver has a great shot at this first round, second round further east.

06z gfs update:
Some sun and a showery week ahead, with some slush Monday and again Thursday. Thursday has the potential to switch to all snow in the local snow zones for a good portion of the precip timing. Climb a hill on Thursday and stay there all day buttees
Next week ends with another on Sunday, followed by another cool down and back to more slush potentially. Lets keep our fingers crossed for week #2
