Re: February 2026 Forecasts and Discussions
I don’t understand the dismissiveness from Goose. Sure, that terrain bleed phantom snow isn’t happening. But it is clear that it is going to get cold enough for lowland snow and there will at times be moisture around, and these are not clown range forecasts. Best chance of getting something interesting all season long. I’d be surprised if no lowland location gets snow. At least someone’s going to score sometime with this. All it will take is a heavier shower hitting at the right time.
And now Fraser outflow is starting to show up in the models. More chances as that interacts with moisture on both the arriving and departing ends.

It's called clown range for a reason.

Re: February 2026 Forecasts and Discussions
2.5 km resolution on this one means much less likely to be phantom snow. Not much terrain bleed. Issue is getting the precip type wrong given the temperatures, but at least some of the time temperatures will support lowland snow this week.
It's called clown range for a reason.
