It just doesn’t matter so much anymore. Already had one pretty decent arctic blast, so it’s not going to be a total dud of a winter. The arctic blast wasn’t as long as originally forecast, but it did snow a fair amount (blasts can often be totally dry). Not only that, got some cold, dry powder snow out of it, which is quite rare on the West Coast. All in all, not bad!

Thing is even though we had last week this will go down as a mild winter l'm guessing if thats it the rest of the way.

That's what I stress when people Sh*t on the "above average" for a mild winter or warmer then normal. It doesn't mean you won't see 7 days of cold and snow. Just means the other 83 days will be typical Vancouver mild and wet weather ‍♂️

Yes and snowfall totals not bad for some areas if they would have been spread out over a couple months it would have seemed like a cold winter, odd how things work out.

Yes and snowfall totals are through the roof in some areas , I might hire the Keeper of the Stanley cup and get him to start polishing the Winter Classic trophy.

Went for a walk earlier and Nito's brisk southerlies felt much colder than what I would have thought.

That was one frozen sailboat they retrieved from Okanagan lake in Kelowna, looked it was snowing there as well.
