I don't think I've ever seen such high precipitation rates advertised on any model as whats being shown on the GEM for next Saturday.
100+ mm 24 hour totals shown with precipitation rates of 30+mm per 3 hours.

Yep another brutal week ahead but a little light at the end of the tunnel. This January could go down as one of the wettest. No real dry spell to speak of.

Well, I say if it's gonna rain, let it break records, and let it rain hard, and flood some stuff. Otherwise all this drizzle crap can go to hell.

I knew Tim would comment on this one run even though he'll lecture people about not paying attention to long term model noise. I seriously hope the EPS is colder and see how he tries to twist it.

Always expected the first 2 weeks of Feb to be mild west and cold east. Eventually seeing West Coast Ridge retrogression by Feb 14.

Keep in mind, this specific model output only has some (maybe half) of all the ensemble members.

PNA forecast looks solid. That first trough will be decent, good skiing anyways. Any potential blast definitely looking delayed until mid month.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2020 9:33 am Always expected the first 2 weeks of Feb to be mild west and cold east.
