Seems like it’s been gradually hinting at Thursday AM system coming in colder last few runs.

My gut feeling all along was that the t-storm activity around the Indian Ocean are really throwing the models for a loop, especially anywhere mid to long term and that a good bet was for chilly NW flow with multiple borderline fringe snow events for the next couple weeks.
Euro looks similar at the 500mb level but I dont have the snowmaps so I guess we'll see.

I’d ask about the 00z GFS maps, but I’m beginning to think it’s got the accuracy and ingenuity of this...

I've wondered the same thing but I doubt we see the arctic solutions return on the models. But its unlikely we stay mild and ridgy. Chilly NW flow with marginal snow chances possible. May end up a bit colder then some models currently show.

20C? Probably looking at April, although March has delivered a few in recent years. We're basically back to all chilly/zonal for the next two weeks with some intermittent sunshine.

Snowing in the desert (more specifically, my parents place in New Mexico) this morning.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Will probably all melt by this afternoon, because that’s the normal fate of desert snow here.
