Coquitlam79 wrote: Sat Jun 26, 2021 4:45 pm I knew it, the Squamish river rises during hot spells and there is still high elevation snowpack plus all the glaciers. I wouldn't be surprised if there is flooding on the upper Squamish.
Could be some flooding in the pemberton valley too. Some tributaries flow into Harrison lake as well, so water levels could rise there.

Evacuation alert issued for Pemberton Valley as river levels rise
An evacuation alert has been issued in the Pemberton Valley north of Vancouver as river levels continue to rise rapidly, due to high temperatures and the resulting snowmelt.

The B.C. River Forecast Centre has issued a flood watch for the Lillooet River and its tributaries, including Pemberton, Lillooet Lake and Harrison Lake. It says river levels are rising and will approach or may exceed bankfull, and areas near the river may also flood.

Temperatures for the area are forecasted to rise up to 40 C in coming days. The forecast centre expects the river to peak on July 1, and Harrison Lake to peak on July 1 or 2.

Reminiscent of the July 2009 event. We broke monthly and all time records one day only for them to be broken again the next day.

It’s looking increasingly like the estimated delivery date of the 26th for my air conditioner will not verify.

I think I will spend tomorrow afternoon tinkering with electronics at the Makerspace. It’s in the mall, so there is a/c there.
It's called clown range for a reason.
