Re: November 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
That was an absolutely stunning winter that year too.AbbyJr wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 5:05 pm This upcoming Pineapple Express looks similar to the November 1990 Atmospheric River event. Abbotsford recorded 79.6 mm on the 9th and another 61.0 mm on the 10th for a storm total of 140.6 mm.
Some model runs have been showing similar amounts for this upcoming storm Sunday and Monday. It could easily end up less intense than the 1990 event but it does look similar in my opinion.![]()

Good night to get that canucks taste out of our mouths. Terrible pitch though lol.
I know that it's been said many times that January is the best winter month in Vancouver but for me nothing can touch the magical feeling of having snow in the holidays. Not even for Christmas but just the fact you don't have to commute to work and it just feels right to have snow on the ground.

Yes even the years we had snow between Christmas and New Years, it was like an extra present.PortKells wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 8:16 pm Good night to get that canucks taste out of our mouths. Terrible pitch though lol.

I can remember that happening alot when l was younger, hearing arctic air was on the way just after Christmas.

Pattern looks ripe for more AR's and warmer than normal temps through the end of the month.

Until the next 44C heatwave. I expect a few more tornadoes as well.

Re: November 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
I mean, you DID say there's been a lack of pineapples during the traditional pineapple season of November, and now there are plenty! Ergo, by applying the same logic, since there's been a lack of icy cold snow during the traditional snow season, this year, there will be plenty!wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 8:43 pm Pattern looks ripe for more AR's and warmer than normal temps through the end of the month.![]()
