I think Tyler's got the old record mixed up. Guys, correct me if I interpreted the data incorrectly, but climate records for Hope indicate a single-day rainfall of 173.1mm on November 9th, 1990. Followed by 130.5mm on Nov 10th, for a 48hr total of 303.6mm.

I think that was 98-99. The strong LA Nina year of record breaking snowpack. I remember 99-00 had an AR in mid December 99 and then dry spell. A snowy pattern jn early January 2000 and then a drier than normal winter after that.

I believe we had a quick hitting arctic blast with significant snow in late December '98.

'99-00 was devoid of any meaningful cold weather.

Yes l remember 99/00 being a dud didn't Mt. Baker set a record for snowfall in Jan/00? I'll never forget hearing that l still remember it was Q13 weatherguy Walter Kelly that mentioned it.
