I thought the 18z HFS forecasted 20-40cm for the lower mainland!

It's happening The last minute positive swings are almost never wrong. I'm better they continue trending upward throughout the day. 15-25 widespread with localized amounts of even more is still not out of the question.

Im on that side too. 5-10cms? WTH? Thats like a little moisture fart. We have been pummmmmmbled with high/higher than forecast precip rates. 5-10cm is a mere dusting for this area

There is absolutely no way a pond of that size has thin ice right now after how cold it's been recently.

Link above shows the temperatures that preceded this pic of people skating/walking on lost lagoon in early Jan 1985. Cold has been more extreme this year. Must've been a lot of people ignoring the "thin ice" signs back then too.
