And the recent trend of eastern parts of the metro area getting the short end of the stick would continue.

We live beside a massive mild ocean? This won't change until you grow a Mountain Range just west of Vancouver Island while also filling up every single waterway out to sea.
So either move or grab a shovel and get to work.

Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
I didn’t know what to expect going up since it was my first time up in 8 years but my 2WD hybrid car with snow tires did just fine, that said there’s no shot I’d be trying to go up tomorrow with the snow we have coming.Bc_trucker wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 1:21 pm How was the road getting up there....? My son is hoping to go tomorrow, not sure if that's a good plan?
This is what the last half of Hemlock mountain road was like, lots of gravel to help with traction but still hard packed snow.

At the rate modeled totals are decreasing, expect 5-10cm by the time the 00z runs are out.Weather101 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 2:14 pm 10-20 cm is still a lot. Especially for people in Richmond
Check out the 18z ICON. It's already showing those amounts.

Don't worry, the next great Cascadia quake will take care of that.
