That would be absolutely insane Kells. l don't believe it of course but if this mini Arctic puffer pulled off some kind of surprise would be amazing after the last several weeks of paint drying weather watching.

I for one thought this winter was pretty darn good, snow storms on xmas eve AND xmas day, it doesn't get better than that in my opinion. Snow storms followed by sunny weather and cold snap, I have zero complaints.....however I do live in Squamish so we probably saw more snow than most in lower mainland..so I get that depresses some it would me too. I thought winter was pretty much done, so when I came on here and noticed wait Arctic Air may be arriving I was kinda excited. Of course we want arctic air with snow, we are all dreamers right....but I will take some cold, fresh, windy, sunny weather when I can wear my toque and warm fuzzy boots over drizzly rainy fogged in depressing crap like we have seen as of late. And my little snow piles will continue on for another week so bonus! Haha!

PortKells wrote: Fri Feb 18, 2022 9:42 pm I can't agree with that. I would take a front loaded winter again. How many times have we complained about backloaded winters?

December 2021 was truly memorable and special. I would do it again 100 times out of 100 even if everything else was dudly.

And unless you ski or go to the mountains, who cares about dry and ridgy? In fact, I think this winter would be ideal for many - cold and snowy, followed by dry and pleasant. Personally this is my favourite recent winter outside of 16/17, and that one was pretty rare.
I see your point Kells l enjoyed 16/17 for the fact it was more strung out but on the other hand these winters of winter in February was not enjoyable at all outside of 2019.
But just the blast early this year followed by nothingless l didn't care for. But on the other it still blew 2015/2016 out of the water.

It has felt like spring up here the last few days, not complaining at all! Snow is pretty much gone except for driveway piles and shaded areas.

Looks like things start changing tomorrow though, EC has issued a special weather statement for a chance of snow squalls and thundersnow  .
