That would probably equate to 28-29 along the coast with low to mid 30s inland.

Edit: Just going by the mean. The Op is much warmer.

But who says it needs to be a extreme in either direction? Why can't it just be sunny and 23c by the water and 27c Inland like I don't know, Normal summers? The climate is just messed up now.

I'd prefer it to be warmer in summer, just as I'd rather see cooler winters.

I definitely don't like excessive humidity and would rather avoid extremely warm nights too. Though I guess I'm lucky as I don't have much trouble sleeping when it's warm in the house (as in >25c), as I frequently see others do so warm nights don't bother me too much.

For me, a summer day with a high/low of 35c/12c with low humidity would be nice.

Because what is nice about walking outside and it's 37c and humid as hell? It's literally disgusting and it's so not enjoyable. I can't go outside and enjoy weather like that I just get sick

High humidity like the folks experience back east rarely happens around here. I highly doubt Richmond recorded anything close to 37° this summer. White Rock/South Surrey/Tsawwassen maybe had a cupla days of 30-32° so far.

The unrelenting persistence of the heat, especially at night, has been more bothersome than the actual value of the daytime high.

Nothing wrong with 23-25° by the water and 28-32° inland...that's probably the range I've seen most often over the years.

Vancouver is still living off its pre-2000s reputation. It's actually nothing special these days.
