We're all fine and no damage here luckily. Some didn't fare so well.

It was quite a storm!
It always snows in December in the Kootenays :clap:

Looks like they're more bullish on a classic La Nina than TWN. It couldn't be more polar opposite.

I think I would take NOAA over twn but to be honest I don't believe seasonal forecasts. Mainly because 2017/2018 and 2020/2021 busted so hard when we kept seeing these incredible maps.

Having said that, the weeklies have been absolutely bonkers accurate, remember they called this September/October drought so I'd be curious what they say in the coming weeks.

Meteorologist Pete Parsons with the "Oregon Department of Forestry" released his winter forecast for the November-January timeframe.

His analogs are 1999/2000, 2008/2009, and 2011/2012.

Thanks for sharing. Looks like he still is holding onto 1956-57 as a secondary analogue too. 1957 is a great analogue if we're ever to see the return of a classic January. Probably holding out too much hope though. :lol:
