Solid improvements! Still a ways to go but the cold could totally shift west with that modelled upper level pattern. I remain interested.

And we're stuck in the mud again, trying to get momentum towards this thing. Nito, you were right

The only model that really improved this morning, luckily it's supposedly the best.

Re: December 2025 Forecasts and Discussions
It's comforting to know all models are lost right now. We really have no clue what will happen. In my opinion, the most likely outcome based on climo along with the LRC is a multi-week ridge followed by retrogression in Feb but it's more of a hypothesis.

I'm curious how 2025 stacks up in terms of precip and temperatures compared to 2024.

Re: December 2025 Forecasts and Discussions
Beautiful sunny crisp day on the bump today. I’m not sure if people in the lowlands have been fogged in all day again or not. Hopefully you are all enjoying some sunshine
Happy new year to all my buttees!

Re: December 2025 Forecasts and Discussions
Better for us to be on the eastern axis of a ridge rather than the other way around, to avoid pineapples. Looks eerily similar to the pattern we saw in the second half of January last winter, plus 2014 and 2013:

Re: December 2025 Forecasts and Discussions
Fog cleared up in east Coquitlam around noon, after being socked in all day yesterday. Temps shot up as soon as it cleared, from 3c to 7c which currently stands as today's high.
Fog will likely redevelop this evening. Low was 0.5c this AM and will probably dip to around there again tonight.
