Are you talking about significant smoke waves in your back yard or just in general? This year hasn't been as bad yet *knocks on wood*

My dew point was 18-19C at that time. It was a muggy evening but the model overdid it.AbbyJr wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2024 3:46 pm Now the Euro is showing dew points around 23C in the Fraser Valley for Thursday night. Remains to be seen if it verifies. But if it does then...![]()

Re: August 2024 Forecasts And Discussions
In relation to pre-2015 this would be considered significant. Of course since then we've had years where we can barely breathe for two weeks which makes this seem tame, but there is clearly and visibly smoke at the upper levels which prior to 2015 was highly rare. Luckily it has not reached the lower levels and hopefully it stays that way.stuffradio wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 8:46 am Are you talking about significant smoke waves in your back yard or just in general? Plenty in the decades prior to the 1970s as well. 1970s-2000s was a relatively quiet period.
