Aside from the 20-30 mm expected this evening (I'll wait and see to believe it), little rain is expected until next weekend and temperatures above 25°C on Tuesday and Wednesday (at least). Where are the +150 mm forecasted last week on the models for the end of September?
Environment Canada’s current forecast calls for highs of 21˚C at Abbotsford on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Wouldn’t surprise me if it ends up a bit warmer but I doubt it gets above 25˚C.

Yeah... Environment Canada.
Today it was supposed to be 21°C in Pitt Meadows. We had 25°C.
Supposed to be 28°C in the Interior hot spots. They had 29-31°C.

Things were starting to look a bit more active/wet, but ya, not so much anymore.
Might be waiting until Oct now for things to get going.

There was a ~20 day stretch with snow on the ground here between late Dec '81 through early Jan '82. Chilly NW flow wet snow to begin which transitioned into a significant cold snap after New Years (low temp of -17.5c in Pitt Meadows). Warmed up thereafter with a bit more snow and plenty of rain but two weeks later we had a brief but significant overrunning snow event as well.
One of the few I vaguely remember. I lived in M Ridge east. We got quite a bit of snow at 300 ft and a long cold run
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++

It looks like the front has already passed us quickly and the main rain band is now into western Washington. I don't think we're going to see 20-30mm. The good news is the fire hose is now aiming at western Washington, especially the Olympics, and it's looking like the front might stall for a bit, which hopefully will help put out the stubborn Bear Gulch fire that has been the source for our smoky skies lately. The models have been massively overdoing rain lately, especially in the long range. It's a rain mirage!
