That was for our old climate. A mild November bodes well for a mild December and January but also a cold February.Canada Goose wrote: ↑Sat Dec 06, 2025 8:15 am Don't forget: A mild November bodes well for December....![]()

applying the 1990 and 2021 timelines to the upcoming pineapple fest would seem to bode well for a January cold snap. It's called clown range for a reason.

Re: December 2025 Forecasts and Discussions
Looks like another SSW mid month. This time it’s a Siberian event. FWIW, Siberian warmings as of recent have had a solid success rate in sending arctic air into SWBC/PNW. We will see if that trend continues.

So far it looks like Washington and Oregon will take the brunt of the AR’s. But they can shift in track quickly so still some uncertainty.Typeing3 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 05, 2025 7:40 pm Back-to-back-to-back ARs next week will definitely lead to flooding in some parts of the PNW. Still some ambiguity on where they will set up and who will see the most rain.
AR #1 on Monday:

AR # 2 Tuesday evening to Wednesday:

AR # 3 on Friday:

Next Friday is the one to watch for a significant and long lasting snowstorm for the central interior and north coast. Battleground regions between the arctic air to the north and the AR to the south.
