Perhaps these are just what could have been maps Kells had the surface temperature been 0c or below. Something new in our warming climate.

Seeing signs of the 4CH coming alive by early March. Models continue to do away with the West coast trough...and show rising heights over the West Coast. I am thinking we could see a mid March heatwave.

Re: February 2026 Forecasts and Discussions
I recall March 2019 when we went from arctic blast to heatwave in a few days. Was stunning to see piles of snow still on the ground while afternoon temps exceeded 20c! Overnight temps were still around freezing though.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 19, 2026 2:22 pm Seeing signs of the 4CH coming alive by early March. And weatherbell cancelled for another year. Can't really say that was a great investment but I'm sure I'll do it again.

YVR recorded no snow yesterday, yet recorded a trace of snow on the ground?

Re: February 2026 Forecasts and Discussions
Another amazing winter up here on the Sunshine Coast. 1 cm December 24 (that was truly special) and 1 cm today that disappeared by early afternoon. Gibsons got more and they even had a trace yesterday.Hawk wrote: ↑Thu Feb 19, 2026 10:02 am i was watching those cells develop in the straight coming down from the north, with some strait enhancement and some intensification. Buuuuut that white ground in Roberts Creek pic is just another victory![]()
